Lessons last for half an hour and are theme based so that your child will never have to repeat the same topic twice. Most importantly the lessons are FUN and children learn French through games, songs, finger mimes, stories, puppet stories and many more activities.
We use a lot of props and puppets, which make the lesson very
interactive.
Children will do some
arts and
crafts for special occasions such as mother's day, Easter, Christmas…
During the lesson, we speak a mixture of English and French.
We emphasise on certain
important key words that the children always have to say in French such as:
- "merci",
- "s'il-vous-plait",
- "moi s'il-vous-plait",
- "un crayon rouge" (a red pen)...
We encourage those words to come
naturally and form part of the lesson.
The themes that we work on are
varied:
- Alimentation (food),
- Corps (body),
- Vêtements (clothes),
- Vacances (holiday),
- Objets de tous les jours (everyday objects),
- Ville (town),
- Métiers (jobs),
- Animaux (animals),
- Cirque (circus) and many more...
